Last Match

Carlton suffered their second successive 4-2 defeat when losing at Sheffield F.C. on Tuesday evening. Edward Cribley put the Club ahead in the opening minute of the game before Kyle Stovell brought the visitors level after 53 minutes. The hosts though responded with efforts from Richard Patterson, Jamie Yates and Mitchell Dunne meant that Tyler Blake’s strike in the 90th minute was merely a consolation.

The Highwaymen were away at 3rd placed Brighouse Town on Saturday and left the Yorkshire Payments Stadium with all 3 points. Iulian Petrache deftly flicked Ben Sayer’s freekick. Sean Taylor doubled the lead just after the interval before Aaron Martin halved the deficit. Liam Henderson was then red carded before Ben Sayer restored the two-goal lead with a delightful chip. James Hurtley made it a nervous finale as he blasted home in the 89th minute but Morpeth held on for a 3-2 win.
