Following a positive Covid-19 test over the weekend from one of our players, Morpeth Town has taken the decision to halt all footballing activities for the next 14 days.
We have followed guidelines from Public Health England and the Pitching In Northern Premier League before reaching this decision as we take our responsibility for the safety of our players and officials extremely seriously.
The player in question informed the club on Monday morning of the positive outcome, meaning that everyone on the team bus travelling to and from Southport must self-isolate.
Our home clashes with FC United of Manchester and Warrington Town, as well as our trip to Buxton, will now been postponed, with no new dates set as yet.
If you have a ticket for one of the two home games (FC United and Warrington), your ticket will be valid for the rearranged fixture. However, if you cannot make the new date then contact the club for a refund. The refund process will be only be available once the new date for that fixture is announced.
