FRIENDS of Abbeyfields School (FOAS) is a fundraising charity founded by parents, carers and teachers at Abbeyfields First School in Morpeth.
Their main aim is to enrich the lives of our school children by raising money to enhance our current environment, fund new school ground equipment and implement new ideas to help a school make a difference within our community.
They organise fundraising events throughout the year, like Christmas and Summer Fairs, Mother & Father’s Day gifts, discos for the children, bag packing, busking and social events. They are always looking for new ideas and inspiration.
Some of the key fundraising projects over the last couple of years have been for new playground markings, mud kitchen and role play kitchen for nursery and reception classes, the building of a canopy, improving outdoor learning spaces, coloured benches, and the construction of a welcome arch.
Not only do they raise funds, they also bring a school community together to improve the school environment.
“We are always looking for new ways to fundraise and we really appreciate the opportunity to fundraise for our amazing school at Morpeth Town FC,” said a FOAS spokesperson.
