Mark Davison has left Craik Park to join Northern League Division One side Sunderland RCA.
The striker, who netted 33 goals in 95 appearances, leaves Morpeth following a clinical spell at the club. The club are grateful to Mark for his time here in which he became a popular figure for his goal scoring exploits.
“With the travelling involved next season, and work commitments, unfortunately Mark would be struggling for availability,” said Town manager Nick Gray when explaining why the forward departed.
“We wish him all the best at Sunderland RCA, where I’m sure he will be as clinical as he was for us.”
In other news, and contrary to social media reports, Curtis Coppen is still a Morpeth Town player as he is contracted to the club. This is despite reports of him signing for North Shields, which have surfaced recently.
