Morpeth Town goalkeeping coach Ross Morecroft has announced his decision to leave the club in the off-season.
With availability for the new season proving problematic, Morecroft was unable to commit to a role he has carried out for the club to such a high standard over the previous three years. Huge high points include being part of the coaching team when The Highwaymen won the FA Vase at Wembley and the trip to St James’ Park for the Senior Cup final at the end of the season just ended. A brilliant coach, Morecroft has helped current custodians Karl Dryden and Max Coombes to improve this season.
“I’d like to thank everyone at the club for making my time there so enjoyable,” said Morecroft.
“I’ve loved every minute of my time at Morpeth and I wish them the best of luck next season and beyond.”
Everyone at the club wishes Ross all the very best in his future endeavours and he will always be welcome back at Craik Park.

Just for fun, here’s a video of Ross conceding time and again, with Keith Graydon scoring most of them!
