HIGHLIGHTS: Eight’s great for Morpeth Town as they pummel Blyth Spartans

Morpeth Town were superb from start to finish as a blistering attacking performance saw them brush aside National League North Blyth Spartans in the Techflow Group Senior Cup semi-finals.

Securing a place in the final – to be played at St James’ Park – was the main priority, but The Highwaymen played with a style and a swagger which the Spartans simply couldn’t deal with. A Ben Sayer hat-trick, two for Mark Davison and one apiece for Sean Taylor, Keith Graydon and Sean Taylor ensured safe passage to the showpiece final to be played at the end of the season.
