Media team sponsored by Northumbria Print
Morpeth Town are on the lookout for additions to their media team for the new season.
Due to work commitments, Sam, who has done a brilliant job during his stint at Craik Park, has had to step down from his role.
We are seeking a two multimedia club reporters to work on matchdays to help deliver an outstanding media output as part of a team which won the NPL Digital Challenge award in its last fully completed season.
This is an exciting time to be part of Morpeth Town, with the team playing at the highest level in their history, creating a new academy due to start in September and opening a new restaurant on site.
If you want to be part of the media team, your duties would include:
- Live match reporting through social media
- Match report writing
- Radio co-commentary
- Short, creative video content production
- Interview players for written and video content
- Provide written stories and features for our award-winning programme
Do you have a passion for football? Do you want to hone your skills as a writer, social media content creator or turn your hand to video editing and publishing?
We can offer a range of experiences to the right candidate and provide the opportunity to cover non-league football at NPL Premier Division level.
Experience in sports writing is preferred but far from essential as you will be trained on the job and gain real life experience.
“Working in non-league football is a fantastic opportunity to learn new media skills based on live reporting and content creation,” said Media Manager Ross Jackson.
“Many people have gone on to work in other, full-time, sports and/or media roles after experience at a non-league club.
“If this is something you are considering, get in touch today.”
You must be available for the majority of home and away games throughout the season. To apply, please send your CV and a brief covering letter to media@morpethtownafc.com. Within the covering letter, please state what you would prefer to do as a role within the media team.
