Morpeth Town caretaker manager Craig Lynch believes his side have every chance of progressing to the first round proper of the FA Cup.
That is despite being drawn against National League North outfit York City in the fourth qualifying round, with a trip to Yorkshire due on 16th October.
“I think it is probably on paper one of the toughest draws we could have got. But it’s a great occasion, new stadium and a full-time team,” said Lynch.
“But we go there with a real chance.
“As part of the management team and even more so if you’re a player, if you can’t get motivated for a week when we have South Shields away then York City away then you’re in the wrong business.”
Town are in action on Tuesday, 5th October at Craik Park (7.45pm) when they welcome Radcliffe in the Pitching In NPL Premier Division. Tickets are available on the gate (cash only).
