Last Match

Town grabbed their first league win of the season as they completed a hard fought victory over Brighouse Town. Liam Henderson grabbed his first of the season early in the game before Joe Walton added a second on the stroke of half time. Aaron Martin halved the deficit just after the hour mark but Morpeth deservedly held on. Martin saw red late on for a crude challenge which saw him pick up his second yellow of the game.

Marske United tasted defeat for the first time on Tuesday evening as they went down 2-1 at Frickley Athletic. Craig Gott curled home a freekick with the aid of the Frickley ‘keeper to put Marske ahead on 4 minutes. Gavin Allot equalised from the penalty spot on halftime before Jack Burton who was on as a substitute headed home from a corner with 15 minutes left to play. Marske were forced to play almost all of the second half with 10 men following the dismissal of Chay Liddle.
