Liam Miller
Liam joined us from Guisborough Town in the summer of 2023 after impressing on Teesside. Originally a Sunderland Academy graduate, he has played internationally for Scotland until the age of 18 before stints in adult football with Bishop Auckland and most recently Guisborough.
Rhys Evans
Evans is a full-back that is comfortable playing as a wing-back in a defensive five, and joins the Highwaymen following a five-year spell at Blyth Spartans. The defender, who has also featured for St Johnstone, Queen of the South and Newcastle Benfield, will be a threat down the flank as much as he is solid on the back foot.
Nathan Buddle
The defender has forged a successful career in non-league football, primarily with Blyth Spartans, but has also featured for Carlisle United in league football, before further spells at Gateshead, Spennymoor, and, most recently, Ashington. Amble-based, the 30-year-old is an experienced and commanding presence at the heart of the defence.

Will Dowling
After breaking into the first team last season, the Academy player, who was released by Sunderland’s Academy, will be looking to make waves. Composed on the ball and with outstanding distribution, Dowling has a canny knack of being in the right place at the right time.
Matt Boyd
The young midfielder was part of our Academy side recently, excelling in his age group. Having also featured for Hibernian in their Academy set-up in Scotland, the Berwick based youngster has a remarkable maturity in congested midfield situations and is looking to have a breakthrough campaign with the Highwaymen.
Matty Griggs
Griggs is another of the talented crop breaking through into the first team from our Academy set-up. Quick feet, and solid execution, he has impressed during pre-season but is also dual registered with Whitley Bay to ensure regular game time at a crucial stage in his fledgling career.
Jordan Hickey
A combative, whole-hearted midfielder, the enforcer in the heart of our midfield isn’t shy of making a challenge, breaking up the opposition play with great effectiveness. The tough-tackling player started out at Sunderland and then Hull City before making the switch to Blyth Spartans, after a temporary stint at Whitby Town.

Danny Barlow
A midfielder with bags of energy, his direct style of play invigorates the whole midfield and ensures the Highwaymen are on the front foot. Formerly of Blyth Spartans, among others, Barlow previously took part in a U.S. scholarship programme.
Fenton John
Fenton is a hugely talented young attacking midfielder, with energy to burn and a desire to get on the front foot. Chipping in with goals regularly, the on-loan Gateshead player drives us forward often and energises those around him. He’s had three previous loan spells with us while at Middlesbrough.

Jack Foalle
Jack only made the switch to the Highwaymen in October 2018 but has hit the ground running. Following a run of 17 goals in 15 games at Whitley Bay, ambitious Jack made the move to Craik Park and duly scored a sensational first goal for the club on his home debut. Quick, energetic and enthusiastic, Foalle is a real threat up top.
Nic Bollado
The attacker joined Morpeth Town after being released by FC United of Manchester. Another that is full of potential, Bollado is direct and good at taking the ball with him on forays into congested areas. Scoring regularly, Bollado will look to impress once more after only joining mid-way through last season.
