Morpeth Town boss Craig Lynch is aiming for a big three points tomorrow when his side welcome Bamber Bridge to Craik Park, writes Matty Hunter.
The Highwaymen are on a run of two defeats in 10 outings, but those losses have come in consecutive games most recently, shipping nine goals in the process.
Having scored seven in three games, Lynch is adamant his side should be getting more than the solitary point they earned, to show for their troubles.
“We’re struggling with injuries at the moment, and they seem to be hitting us all at once in the same position,” said the Morpeth Town boss.
“It means we have to play lads away from their natural position but they are giving everything, which I can’t fault one bit.
“A big positive is we have only suffered two losses in 10 games but then, on the other hand, we have scored seven goals in three and only got a point from it!
“We are actively working to find the best solution to fix the problems.
“There’s still a long way to go but our aim is 50 points. It’s a positive and realistic marker for where we are at the moment and where we can get to.
“If we can get to that benchmark, we’ll see where we are from there.”
The Town supremo is keen to see his side return to winning ways tomorrow against a Bamber Bridge side who have drawn all too many games this campaign.
“Tomorrow’s game is going to be tough,” he added.
“Bamber Bridge haven’t been in the greatest run of form, but I have a lot of respect for the manager and the way they do things.
“Like we’ve seen this season, it’s about us and how we approach the game. I believe we can beat anyone on our day but we can also be our own worst enemy.
“It’ll be a good game and it’ll be a huge three three points if we can get it. We’d love to see a good crowd there because every bit of support helps us on the pitch.”
