Morpeth Town will make the journey to Belper Town on the opening day of the Evo-Stik League First Division East season after the fixtures were announced.
Craik Park will get its first chance to host three days later when The Highwaymen entertain Brighouse Town. Of the other notable dates in the season, Morpeth travel to closest rivals Marske United on Boxing Day, but enjoy a home game with Tadcaster Albion on New Year’s Day. The fixture list sees our longest trip of the campaign – to Wisbech Town – fall on the final day of the season (Saturday, April 27).
In terms of the most miles clocked up in a month, September looks to be particularly gruelling with 1056 miles clocked courtesy of round trips to Pontefract, Spalding and Stamford. Although fixtures are subject to change, currently there are only two away games that fall on a normal midweek day (not a bank holiday).
