Morpeth Town AFC would like to invite applications for a role within our media team.
Leading the department, you will be responsible for overseeing the contributions of a photographer, videographer, social media officer (home match days) and a programme editor, as well as externally liaising with a programme designer and publisher as our new Head of Media.
This is an exciting opportunity to get tangible experience within the football industry, leading a talented team and facilitating outstanding social media and website content.
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
- Co-ordinating a team of volunteers on home and away match days
- Attending home and away match days
- Writing and publishing match reports
- Conducting post-match interviews with the manager and a player, editing them and posting them online
- Updating the website
- Conducting social media across X, Facebook, and Instagram on away match days and scheduling content during the week. This includes Linkedin.
- Carrying out league mandated requirements, including Football Web Pages
- Optional extra includes conducting Highwaymen Radio commentary.
Desired skills include competency using video editing software, a solid writing style, and the ability to multi-task. Being available for home games and the majority of away matches (transport on the team bus is provided for the majority of away fixtures) would also be advantageous.
A full handover will be provided and training in relevant areas to ensure you’re ready to take on the role.
