Morpeth Town welcomes the news regarding supporters returning to non-league football.

Although we remain in uncertain times as we ease out of COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, the return of supporters is fantastic news for ourselves and those at this level of football.

To confirm, initially clubs at our level are allowed 300 supporters in the ground to watch a match until August 31st. After this date, that rises to 600 moving forward.

“It is welcome news regarding the return of fans to football at non-league level,” said chairman Ken Beattie.

“They are a hugely important part of any club and we wouldn’t be able to function without our fantastic supporters.

“We are taking the circumstances extremely seriously and have already strategically planned how to make Craik Park COVID secure. With a rigorous risk assessment in place, our off-field team are working hard to implement measures which will help you, the supporter, to feel safe when you walk through the turnstiles at Craik Park.”

To view the club’s risk assessment plan, please click on the COVID option at the top of the home page on our website.

Town’s next fixtures see them travel to Consett, then Shildon on August 26th before a visit to Blyth Spartans on September 1st.
